The NICCI in Nigeria is an association of Indian and Nigerian Organisation.

NICCI's principle objective is to promote activities that would encourage and stimulate investment by the Indian companies in Nigeria by:

Providing a forum on an organized basis in which Indian business organizations in Nigeria can discuss and identify common issues and interests regarding their economic and commercial interests in Nigeria.

Providing opportunities to the members to represent and express their views and opinions, especially regarding trade, commerce, finance, services, industry, agriculture and related issues and to seek to understand and give effect to such opinions to the extent considered desirable and possible.

Maintaining an influential and active Board of Directors and a range of sectoral Committees to implement the primary objective.

Undertake advocacy on policies and procedures affecting NICCI member's operations in specific sectors as well as affecting the growth of foreign investment in Nigeria.

Established in 1992 and financed by annual membership fees, NICCI has over 100 members. Companies of India origin make up about 75 percent of membership, the remaining being Nigerian and individual or honourary members.

The incumbent India High Commissioner is the Honourary President of NICCI. NICCI enjoys a very close relationship with the India High Commission officials and receives tremendous support in fulfilling its objectives.
